ROCKFORD – The Rams boys track & field team started their OK Red 2019 campaign with a bang, Wednesday, April 10. The Rams dominated the Grandville Bulldogs and came away with a 116-40 win.
The Rams registered 15 PRs as they garnered points to earn the victory. Rockford swept five events and claimed three of the relays. Noah Stallworth had a big day, registering four first-place finishes – two individual and two in relays. Jack Grimm claimed the 800m run and Jude Parks set a PR when he claimed a first in the 3200 in a heart-stopper with Jude clocking in at 10:17.88 and Grandville’s Zac Zemba timing in at 10:17.89. The Rams swept both the pole vault and the long jump, with Logan Murphy claiming the pole vault and Eli Haddad placing first in the long jump. Rockford freshman Sam Snowden put the field on alert with a third-place finish in the discus with a PR of 96-10.
