Rams Land 5th in MITCA Team State Competition

LANSING – The Rams boys track & field trip competed in the MITCA Division 1 Team State Finals at Lansing Waverly High School, Saturday, May 25, and came home with a fifth-place finish after tallying 1073.5 points in the 13-team state team competition. East Kentwood claimed first with 1440.5, Macomb Dakota in second with 1314, Holt in third with 1280.5, and Lansing Waverly landed fourth with 1211.

Rockford sprinter Noah Stallworth had another great showing, claiming first in both the 100m and 200m dashes, and was the anchor leg for the winning 4x100 relay team. Jacob Rademacher claimed two third-place finishes – in the 110m and 300m hurdles, clocking a PR in the 300m event. Also notching a PR, was Jacob Vega, who landed 19th in the discus with a throw of 107-00.

The Rams now prepare for the MHSAA D1 State Track & Field Finals, Saturday, June 1. The event takes place at East Kentwood High School.
