ROCKFORD – The Lady Rams cagers played host to a tough Muskegon team, Friday, Dec. 14 and put it all out on the floor. In the end, Rockford fell to the Big Reds by a score of 74-58, to move their record to 3-1 on the season.

Muskegon pulled out early, but Rockford reeled them back in to head into the locker room at the half trailing 36-24. Rockford had another run in the third quarter to keep to within single digits, but Muskegon surged ahead again in the fourth, claiming the victory.

Ram Hannah Morgan led the team with an impressive 26 points on the night, which included a school record seven 3’s in a single game. She was followed by Syd Reinke, who was in double digits, also, tallying 16 points and six rebounds.

“The Rams fought hard tonight making two runs in the 2nd and 3rd quarters to cut Big Red’s lead to single digits,” said head coach Brad Wilson. “Unfortunately, turnovers and inconsistency to execute ultimately led to their defeat. I love the way our girls responded to the early deficit. This team has been showing a lot of resolve and I believe this loss will make us better. Very proud of our team!”

Next up for the Lady Rams is a Tuesday, Dec. 18 match up against Forest Hills Central at home. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
