The Rams girls lacrosse team

The Ram girls lacrosse team took a road trip to Cleveland over the weekend to play two teams from Ohio, Saturday, May 12, to play Massillon Jackson and Cleveland Heights. The girls played strong in Ohio and came home with two more victories.
The team bonding trip to Cleveland was beneficial and the girls when they played Massillon Jackson, a top Ohio team to start off the day. The Rams showed they weren’t intimidated, claiming the victory 15-8. The entire Rockford team experienced valuable playing time on the field.
Mac Vandermolen led the Rockford scoring with four goals. Also scoring for the Rams were, Sydney Zimmerman with three goals and an assist, Lilly Newman with two goals and an assist, Brooklyn Neuman and Kerrington Vandermolen, each with two goals, Katie Rodriguez with a goal and an assist, Maddie McCreery with a goal, McKenna Rinehart and Chloe Dunham and Maggie Hammer, each tallying an assist.
After a strong win against Jackson, the Rams then played Cleveland Heights. The girls took charge right away and were off to a running clock before half time with an ending score of 21-6.
Brooklyn Neuman ended the game with five goals and an assist. Also scoring for the Rams were, Mac Vandermolen with three goals and two assists, Sydney Zimmerman with three goals and two assists, Maggie Hammer with two goals and two assists, Kerrington Vandermolen with two goals and an assist, Katie Rodriguez with a goal and two assists, Izzy Holmes, Madi Kleefisch, Hannah Heeren, McKenna Rinehart and Natalie Swartz all ended the game with a goal. The
Rams had another strong day on defense, with goalie Maddie Yakes having a showcase day in the net.
