Ram lacrosse defense smothers opponent.

The Rams girls lacrosse team faced off Friday, May 4, against Forest Hills United. The Rams claimed the victory by a 14-10 score in the away match-up. The Rams then played host to Forest Hills United at The Ted Monday, May 7, and completely dominated the match, winning 18-3.
Ram scorers for the two match-ups were, Brooklyn Neuman with a total of six goals and five assists, Mac Vandermolen with six goals and four assists, Sydney Zimmerman with two goals and five assists, Kerrington Vandermolen with five goals, Hannah Heeren with two goals and four assists, Maggie Hammer with three goals and one assist, Katie Rodriguez with three goals and two assists, Izzy Holmes with one goal and one assist, and Maddie McCreery, Chloe Dunham, and McKenna Rinehart, who each tallied a goal.
Defensively, the girls played very well for both games. During the second game against Forest Hill United, only three goals were scored against the Rams. Maddie Yakes, the Ram goalie did a great job of rejecting the opponent’s attempts to socre. The Rockford defense, made up of Bailey Banfield, Anna Glynn, Madi Kleefisch, Shae Strehl and Hannah Tompkins, also did a great job of turning opposing players away.
