PORT HURON, MI – The Rising Starz Xcel program continued to collect first place banners, taking the team championship in all four divisions – Diamond, Platinum, Gold and Silver – at the Wildfire Challenge in Port Huron. A personal favorite meet for several of the gymnasts, the team boasted a number of All-Around Champions at the event.
The Silver team led the way with a score of 114.975, topping second place Livonia Ultimate by more than five points. Not far behind the top score of the meet was the Gold team at 114.500, followed by the Platinum squad at 113.375 and Diamond at 109.675.
All-Around Champions for the team were Lacey Scheid (Diamond – 37.350), Kate Tracey (Platinum – 37.900), Aviela Einfeld (Gold JR-B – 38.000), Hailey Hill (Gold JR-C – 38.000), Delaney Geraghty (Gold SR-B – 37.800), Madeline Pastoor (Gold SR-A – 37.500), Leah Koch (Gold JR-A – 37.450), Genna Thompson (Silver JR-B – 38.175), Brooke Gordon (Silver SR-A – 38.150), Isabella Clark (Silver JR-A – 38.000) and Kendi Wood (Silver SR-B – 37.475). Thompson was the highest-scoring gymnast of the entire meet.
