The Rockford Boys Youth Lacrosse Club picked up an impressive win to end the season, winning the Midwest Lax Bash Championship in Oxford, MI. The U10 team didn't drop a single game on their way to the title that was contested at the Seymour Lake Park facilities June 2-3.
"It was great to watch our 3rd-4th Rockford lacrosse group go undefeated on their run to win their last tourney of the year," said club vice president Chad Gordon. "Our players at this age group were run through the ADM (athlete development model) which allowed for more touches and more reps. It was evident that our players were a step ahead all weekend fighting for every ground ball and also showing great effort and stick work."
According to their league web site, “The goal of Rockford Lacrosse Club is to instill a lifelong passion for the game of lacrosse by promoting an environment where young athletes can develop skills in a fun and positive setting. Through an enthusiastic instructional curriculum that emphasizes sportsmanship, camaraderie, and work ethic, the program focuses on the growth of players as both athletes and members of our Rockford, Michigan community.”
