Rising Starz Gymnastics had quite a February, after winning several championships at IGI Chicago Style (the largest Xcel competition in the world), the team swept through all four divisions at the Wildfire Challenge in Port Huron, MI the weekend of February 22. In fact, three of the teams – Silver (115.225), Gold (115.650) and Platinum (112.75) posted thee of the Top 100 scores in the entire country. The big scores featured 14 All-Around Champions and 13 Top 100 Individual scores.
Most impressive was Diamond gymnast Lacey Scheid who posted an All-Around score of 37.875 (13th in the nation) with a 9.475 on Vault (39th in the nation), 9.550 on Bars (52nd in the nation) and 9.600 on Floor (99th in the nation). All three we good for gold, along with her 9.250 on Beam.
Gold gymnasts Georgia Readwin and Emma Shutich each posted Top 100 All-Around scores with a 38.700 (3rd) and 38.100 (86th), respectively. Readwin’s 9.850 on bars ranked 8th nationally, while her 9.650 on Vault sits 69th. Shutich posted a 9.775 on Bars, ranking 64th.
Other Top 100 scores for team included Gold gymnasts Claire Adams 9.825 on Bars (19th), Maddy Gallatin 9.775 on Bars (64th) and Ashley Williams 9.750 on Bars (84th); Platinum gymnast Sidney Breen on Floor with a 9.725 (50th).
Silver All-Around Champions were Lillian Green (38.175 in Junior C division), Jaylin Hunter (38.025 Junior A, Katelyn Allen (37.700 Junior B), Ryenn McRell (37.625 Senior C) and Addison Langeland (37.125 Senior A).
Gold All-Around Champions were Readwin (Senior A), Shutich (Junior C), Molly DiCosola (37.950 Senior C), Addy Rasmussen (37.925 Senior B), Leah Koch (37.875 Junior B) and Quin Mead (37.400 Junior A).
Platinum All-Around Champions were Emily Pittman (37.725 Junior B) and Ainsley Luurtsema (36.950 Senior A), while Scheid took All-Around in the Diamond Junior division.
